The Cache Visit Verification Utility was written to help ease the burden on cachers who have a lot of virtual caches and therefore receive a lot of verification emails that they need to respond to.

This utility allows the cacher to place a link on the cache's webpage that will let the visiting cacher enter the verification information and receive a positive or negative response as to whether the information entered matches the acceptable answer or answers for that cache.

The cache owner receives an email message containing the visiting cacher's answers and whether or not those answers were acceptable. He has no need to send an email to the cacher since he/she has already been notified whether or not the information was correct.
