Let me start out with my heartfelt apology to everyone involved in the Lizard Toad Challenge for causing this story to be delayed for so long. I could make a few excuses but I won't. I'll spare you the time. Suffice it to say that it is still a fun read and well worth the time it will take to read it.

A year has gone by since this challenge unfolded and we now have a bunch of new cachers. I would bet that they have never heard this story, or bits and pieces of it, at most. Even those of us who read the logs the first time around will find a bit of enjoyment from reading it again.

In the first article, Lizard Toad Challenge - The Posts That Started It All, the Lizard Toads explain their challenge and outline the preparations needed and the rules involved -- not to mention the $500 reward to the winner.

In the second article, Lizard Toad Challenge - A Chronology of Sorts, I attempt to piece together the stories and forum logs of several different people into some semblance of a chronological order.
