GAME DESCRIPTION and RULES OF PLAY

Game Description:

Basically, U-Dash is a local adaptation of GeoDashing. (The "U" is for any or all of the following "You", "Utah" or "Urban".)

Each game will pit the tenacity, ingenuity, and resourcefulness of two teams against each other as they race to be the first to log each of the U-Dash Waypoints.

Each team is made up of any Geocacher registered in the UTAG Forums. To begin with, I'll use a random method of assigning everyone to one of the two teams: anyone could be assigned to either team. Future rounds of the game may have different team rosters.

For each round of the game, a new set of random waypoints in the State of Utah will be generated. Waypoints will be distributed throughout the state but there will be more waypoints in the more populous areas.

Waypoint distribution for each round of the game may change. This will add some variety to the game. Waypoints could be assigned either totally in urban areas, or totally in any area, or a mixture of the two. If mixed, a higher percentage of waypoints would be assigned to urban areas.

Rules of Play:

1) As team members visit each waypoint, they will log it online on the game page and include enough information to "prove" that they were actually there.

2) Since a detailed description of the waypoint location is required to claim a "Find", only the first team to log a "Find" for that waypoint will receive points for it.

3) In order to claim a "Find" for a waypoint, you must get to within 100 feet of the waypoint.

EXCEPTIONS to the rule:
a) The waypoint is inside any building or man-made structure. In this case, just get as close as possible.
b) The waypoint is in any body of water. In this case, just get as close as possible.

4) If a waypoint is permanently inaccessible, it will be deemed "out-of-play" and the first player to log it should enter a "Couldn't Get There" log.

EXAMPLES of this rule:
a) The waypoint is in a restricted area, ie. posted as "No Trespassing" or inside a controlled-entrance area.
b) The waypoint is on private property and permission to enter is denied or permanently unavailable.

5) Rules may be added and/or modified in future rounds of the game as new situations arise. All conflicts and questions will be resolved by the game moderator (who cannot be bribed).
